Equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) involves interaction between the participant(s), a horse(s), a therapist and a horse expert.  In this project EAP does not involve riding.


The aims of the project are to assess whether, and in what ways, the mental health and well-being of veterans can be improved through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.


There are three main activities in this project and participants will engage in all of the activites:

  2. 2)Emotion Recognition Task

  3. 3)Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
